21 Lessons for the 21st Century

21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari

A good round up for 21 different areas relevant to modern life and modern world.

Having some expertise in some of these areas, Harari’s isn’t perfect in depth but considering the breadth, it’s hard to think of a better and more interesting generalist book than this.

Men On Strike

Men On Strike by Helen Smith PhD

Avoid marriage / divorce at all costs and beware the new feminist laws not only legalizing paternity fraud but even forcing you to pay child support for 18 years for kids that DNA tests prove they aren’t yours. Feminists keep making the laws ever worse because they’re majority voters due to higher male mortality rates. Also predicted #MeToo.

Update: UK government data shows marriage has fallen to the lowest level ever recorded since records began in 1862, and USA data shows similar.

The UK 2021 census shows 25% replacement across England and Wales. For comparison, the largest invasion in UK history – the Norman Conquest of 1066 – resulted in approximately only 5% population replacement. This is the result of lower birth rates and corruption of the political system via universal suffrage.

Everybody Lies: What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are

Everybody Lies: What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are by Seth Stephens-Davidowitz

Google searches, Facebook data, shopping and pornographic sites can tell us a lot about our western society and human nature. A fascinating read uncovering newly available discoveries thanks to big data.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

An entertaining look at where humans come from. An unfortunate discovery is that everywhere humans spread, large mammal extinctions shortly followed, most likely driven to extinction through hunting, because even occasional hunting of them with low birth rates meant their populations declined over time. Sort of like what is happening to Europe as described in the bestseller The Strange Death of Europe from The Best Books on Race & GeoPolitics book list.

Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow

Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow by Yuval Noah Harari

If Sapiens was where we came from, Homo Deus is where we are going with technology affecting our lives.

12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan Peterson

Basic but highly acclaimed pop psychology book. Probably more popular than it should be compared to the books in the The Best Men’s Books on Dating & Relationships.

The Rational Male: volume 4 – Religion

The Rational Male: volume 4 – Religion by Rollo Tomassi

As a non-religious person I was curious and completely surprised how good this book was, because I did not have high expectations for a topic that most of us don’t pay much attention to any more.

This is as much about how society has changed as how religion has been bent by feminism. This was a much more interesting read than anticipated.

The first two Rational Male books are the best and can be found in the Dating & Relationships book list.

The Rational Male – The Rational Male: volume 4 - Religion by Rollo Tomassi

The Rational Male: volume 3 – Positive Masculinity

The Rational Male: volume 3 – Positive Masculinity by Rollo Tomassi

The weakest of the first four Rational Male books, but still worth a read because of who the author is and the series overall, and probably of interest to people who are into 12 Rules for Life.

The Blank Slate: The Modern Denial of Human Nature

The Blank Slate: The Modern Denial of Human Nature by Steven Pinker

Debunks the Blank Slate Fallacy that people are interchangeable and everything is a “social construct”.

“Small differences in the genes can lead to large differences in behavior”

The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense

The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense by Gad Saad

Debunks various areas of stupidly unrealistic woke ideas that have infected western society.

Inconvenient Facts: The Science That Al Gore Doesn’t Want You to Know

Inconvenient Facts: The Science That Al Gore Doesn’t Want You to Know by Gregory Wrightstone

Some complications to the Climate Change narrative, such as CO2 being only 0.04% of the atmosphere – the biggest greenhouse gas is actually water vapor! The world has also been re-greening, so it turns out a little more CO2 has been good for plant growth as we were in a low CO2 period in earth history.

Definitely some things to think about for those of us who are otherwise “greens”.

Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About The World – And Why Things Are Better Than You Think

Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About The World – And Why Things Are Better Than You Think by Hans Rosling

A bit overhyped, but still a good book.

Overall an optimistic read. My own issue with this book was it’s overly optimistic about world population growth peaking at 12 Billion people and the massive growth in Africa becoming half the world’s population by the end of the century. That is not good news for the world, the environment or animals as Africa is one of the few places left of great natural genetic wealth in the animal kingdom.

The birth rate imbalances between developed and undeveloped countries should concern everybody, especially given we live in the era of mass migration and when combined with The Blank Slate fallacy.

Life as a Millenial or Gen Z is hard. This documents the plight of recent generations and what is wrong with society, as well as some of the flaws within the millennial generation too.

This is a must-read book for every generation – those that aren’t part of the solution are part of the problem.
